Lee O'Driscoll  

Lee O'Driscoll - Producer
Lee trained at the prestigous Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has worked extensively as a professional actor in the UK and abroad. Highlights include touring Europe with TNT Theatre's highly acclaimed production of A Christmas Carol, and, more recently, the UK tour of 'A Dash Through Dickens'. He has vast experience as a workshop leader having worked in over 2000 schools!. Lee also worked as a drama consultant for the Children's Parliament of Scotland. Directing highlights for the take away theatre company include: 'Hope' (the UK's most perfomed Anti Bullying Production), 'Tam O'Shanter' and 'During the War...'

     
Hazel May MacGregor - Actress  

Hazel May MacGregor - Production Manager
Hazel graduated from Langside College in 2005 with an HND in Acting and Performance.  Since then she has worked extensively for several TIE and other theatre companies touring the UK and abroad.  She is also experienced in screen acting having performed in a number of short films.  As well as performing, Hazel is involved with “Stagerite Expressive Arts” in a directorial and script writing capacity and also as a mentor for young actors for companies such as ‘The Elma Whyte School of Dance’.  Hazel has a passion for music and enjoys singing, drumming and her new hobby - playing the guitar.  Hazel has performed in several productions for the Take Away Theatre Company and is also the companies production manager.

     
Laura Tough - Choreographer   Laura Tough - Choreographer
Laura has been choreographer for Take Away Theatre since 2009.  Prior to this, Laura had vast experience working for several TIE Companies all over the UK and also spent many summers abroad working with Razzamataz Theatre Schools.  This led to Laura starting her own company - StageRite  Expressive Arts, giving children in the East End of Glasgow the chance to try their hand at acting, singing and dancing.  One of Laura’s highlights of working with The Take Away Theatre consisted of a man in a dress, and a pantomime cow with very poor spatial awareness dancing to ‘Here Come The Girls’!!!
     
Reeves Peterson   Reeves Peterson - Resident Writer
Reeves Peterson is a writer, comedian and songwriter. Reeves has been a finalist in You Must Be Joking, won the Comedy Café New Acts and became the first English speaking comedian to headline the Suomen Stand Up Club Helsinki, Finland. In the summer of 2007 he was invited to compere the mainstage at the Poole Park Festival in front of 5000+ people.  Reeves is a regular guest on 102.3 2CRFM (gcapmedia) where he writes and performs topical songs for Richie and Caroline at Breakfast. Reeves has written the plays One Night In Helsinki, Green Fingers and the radio play Sammy and Mikey. He also has a number of other writing projects in the pipeline including a musical.

Yasmin Galloway  

Yasmin Galloway
Yasmin is originally from Ayrshire in south west Scotland and graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with MA Musical Theatre (Merit).
Theatre includes the title role of Cinderella in Cinderella (Motherwell Theatre), Jenny Hobbs in During the War (UK tour), Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew (Open-air UK tour), Marilyn Monroe 2 in Norma Jeane the Musical (Workshops) and Hope in Hope (UK tour).

Yasmin has also appeared in a number of short films and commercials in addition to her work as a presenter.

     
James Cusker- Actor  

James Cusker
James firstly trained in Acting and Musical Theatre before proceeding to train in all aspects of theatre with the exception of Choreography.  As a Musical Director and Vocal Coach he has enjoyed working on shows such as the Wizard of Oz and Little Shop of Horrors.  He has also worked professionally in Stage Management, Set Design, Lighting Design/Operation, Live Sound Design/Operation and Venue Technical Management.  Currently on his second tour with the Take Away Theatre Company he has used his skills to supervise music for The Wind in the Willows as well as taking ownership of Lighting Design for our 2 venue runs at the Brighton Fringe Festival and Mugdock Country Park Theatre in Milngavie.  Aside from touring James is currently developing a Masterclass Workshop Tour, Designing a walk-through scare attraction for Halloween, writing a play surrounding mental health and Composing the music for his ambitious project, a musical version of The Truman Show.

     
David Dunne - Actor  

David Alexander
After graduating from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies in 2008, David joined the Take Away Theatre Company having been cast in the production of ‘Hope’, a project he has been involved with a number of times since! David has also worked on various other projects with the company, including 'Scotland (an' a' that)!' which he had a hand in writing!  In addition to his work with the company, he has participated in various other TIE projects and also appeared in the highly successful anti sectarian play “Singin I'm No A Billy He's A Tim”. As well as working as an actor, David also has a keen interest in writing.

     
Jennifer Joyes - Actress   Jennifer Joyes
Jen studied at the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, graduating in 2008 with an HND in Acting and Performance.  She has worked for The Take Away Theatre Company on a number of occasions, most recently in the 2010 Christmas production of 'Peter Pan'.  In addition to her T.I.E. work she has been cast in a variety of stage roles such as: Lucille in 'Slab Boys/Cutting A Rug', Lucia in 'Tally's Blood', and Dierdre in 'Bold Girls'.  Film and TV credits include: 'STV Real Crimes', 'Just Another Friday', and 'The Lost Girls'.  Jen enjoys singing, playing piano and guitar and writing her own music. When she is back home in Glasgow she can often be found at ‘open mic’ nights!

In addition to our permanent members, The take-away theatre company collaborate with education specialists to ensure our productions are as beneficial to schools as possible and take current initiatives into account. We always use professionally trained actors for our tours.
